Born in Paris to a French father and German mother, Julie Rousselet spent her formative years at the Ecole Active Bilingue Jeanine Manuel, an international school in Paris. She read for a masters degree in political science from the famed French university Sciences Po. After her studies, Julie lived and travelled in North America for a couple of years before returning to Paris in 2005 where she worked for 3 years as a journalist and production assistant for the french-german Tv channel Arte. In 2009, she created her cashmere accessory brand flouzen .

Based in Paris in Saint Germain des Près, Flouzen is a French knitted accessory brand which is knitted in the finest Italian and Scottish cashmere yarn. Fouzen was created by the young parisian designer Julie Rousselet. She believes in every individuals creativity to wear the flouzen accessories as they wish : chic or casual, feminin or masculin, winter or summer. Flouzen is collaborating since 2009 with the brand Kitsuné to create an exclusive collection of cashmere ties which marries into Kitsuné’s AW collections.
Flouzen collaborates with the french brand Twins for Peace to create a pair of sneakers with orange cashmere laces in an exclusive range of color combination, sticking to the core values of Twins for Peace : buy a pair of Twins sneakers and help a child.
Since 2012, flouzen collaborates with Monocle to design an exclusive line of cashmere ties, travel kits and christmas gifts.
